Warm Bodies. Go see it.
I am told the film is pretty true to the book, written by Isaac Marion. Isaac Marion is a friend of a really cool friend. So not only is the movie one of the most refreshing takes on the zombie genre, up there with Fido and Zombieland, it supports Pacific Northwest talent.
Warning: it's kind of a zombie "chick flick." But as a chick, bring it on.
What's different? The zombies think. Well, at least the cute one. He's genuinely introspective. Nicholas Hoult plays R, the zombie. Yep, that's his name. He's a zombie, give him a break. This actor's been in a bunch of stuff, but his most noteable role for me was the kid in About a Boy, which is awesome, and you should get over your Hugh Grant aversion if you have one and see that, too.
The hot chick is played by a hot chick. Yeah, she's actually cute in a not-annoying, un-Michael Bay-like sort of way. To give her credit, her name's Teresa Palmer. I think we'll be seeing more of her. The supporting staff is great, and then there's John Malkovich. 'Nuff said.
